The main walking organization in France is the Fédération Française de la Randonnée Pédestre (FFRP), with affiliated walking groups from all over France. The FFRP create and maintain waymarked paths in France and publish guidebooks for them. The European Path Two (E2) is better known as he Grande Randonnee Cinq (GR5) through France and the guidebooks for each section are available through the FFRP.

This is IGN map number 903 which is ideal for pre trip planning (i.e. considering route variations). Small scale maps are also available through the I.G.N. for each section of the E2 in France.
